SABAH INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE (SICC)
In realising the massive economic spin-off effects created by the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) activities on the hotel, shopping, transportation, property and services industry, Yayasan Sabah Group embarked on the construction of the first world-class convention centre in Kota Kinabalu aptly named, Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
The design concept is closely associated with a local flavour with the roof deriving from the traditional Lepa-Lepa Sea Ferries. Its stunning glass-fronted atrium gives visitors panoramic views of the South China Sea on the west and Mount Kinabalu on the east. SICC's interior design typifies Sabah's natural heritage, namely the water, forest and mountain.
SICC is poised to be one of the highly specialised venues for conventions, trade shows, banquets and conferences. The conference space will be fully equipped with world-class communication networks and cutting-edge presentation technology to ensure smooth and efficient running of MICE activities.
SICC covers a total area of 15 acres with facilities spanning over five levels with a total built-up area of 77,800m2
